The Musings and Mumblings of a String Teacher

Welcome to Wire Choir!

This site was created as the result of attending a music and technology seminar by Dr. Joseph Pisano at the Florida Music Educators Assocation Conference in 2008. One of his goals is to establish 100 Music Education Blogs by the end of 2008.

After searching the web, I found that blogs on teaching orchestral string instruments in public schools are very rare. While I have been involved with the internet since the mid-1990’s (I created my first web site by writing out code line by line – - ugh!), I have never blogged. I am fascinated by what we can to enrich the experience of learning and performing music for our students through technology. It is also fantastic how we who teach can be enriched and enrich others through the resources on the web.

I currently teach middle school strings in Florida and have also taught elementary and high school strings.
